On this day myself and mum decided to go for a ride on the Cambrian Railway from Welshpool to Aberystwyth. The weather was very showery and generally damp so naturally riding on a train is a wet weather activity. Some people like myself who volunteer on the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways would define it as a good day as it's called liquid sunshine. We both decided to do something we'd never done before and that was go for a ride on the Aberystwyth Electric Cliff Railway up Constitution Hill. The ride is only £3.00 each and it's worth the ride up to the top. The views are superb of Aberystwyth. There's even a lovely cafe with a tempting selection of lovely cakes. We both had Vanilla Slices and a Cup of Tea. Delicious and tasty they were. The views across the Cardigan Bay are superb. I took out my binoculars and imagined how Foggy Dewhirst (Last of Summer Wine) would feel. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qwf7zyjVY8&feature=related . I did use some of Foggy Dewhirst's words. My mum began laughing and found it very entairtaining.

At the top of Constitution Hill there's also a superb cafe. Myself and mum had a Cup of Tea and Vanilla Slices. That filled us both up. Above the cafe there's a camera observation centre. You have to pay £1.00 to go up there. In my view you can see enough where I'm currently standing. I've got my own binoculars.
