| CARRIAGE AND WAGON UPDATE
by Tony Warren Currently the C&W team at Llynclys are working on Mk1s TSO E4965, TSO E3610, and Brake End 35334. E4965 is approximately 80% finished, however we still have to carry out repairs to the doors,the chassis needs painting and new brake blocks need to be fitted. In view of the lack of funding the final application of coach paint might be deferred until next year. Moving on to TSO E3610, preventive maintenance is being carried out to help stop further deterioration, this coach is 4th in line for restoration. As regards Brake End 35334 the restoration of this vehicle has just commenced. We hope that as and when funding becomes available,we can make the necessary adaptations to enable us to take passengers in wheelchairs. In the meantime the external bodywork is the focus of our activities, which requires an enormous amount of sanding and filling.
