On Tuesday 11th August 2009, the Gwern y Brenin Overbridge 54 had its first train delivered in the from of a Rail Trolley. This was the first rail movement down this section of line since the August 19th 1993 Weedkilling train. This Rail Trolley now makes tool carrying far easier. We can just put them on board the Rail Trolley and push them to the head of clearance. Recently we've had a few bonfires in this section to tidy up this area of rubbish. I'd like to thank the following people for helping volunteer Brian Rowe (Cambrian Railways Trust Volunteer Coordinator and Vice Chairman), Colin, Kevin and least of our hard working and regular Andrew Wilson. We've also cleared the small self setting trees growing on the former second track. As more self setting trees have been cleared, we can see the A483 traffic going over the Level Crossing at Maesbury Road in the distance. After the long curve at Gwern y Brenin, the track is a long straight all the way to the A483 Level Crossing.

A view of our regular volunteer Andy Wilson driving the Rail Trolley. I wonder if he'll consider driving a diesel loco down this section in the future!!! Thursday 13th August 2009.
