| On this day the Cambrian Heritage Railways Trust held their Teddy's Bear Picnic Event. Steam loco Isabel ran its trains hourly up and down the line from Llynclys South to Penygarreg Lane. For the smallest visitors a minature railway also ran on the platform at Llynclys South. On day I arrived there in the morning the minature railway was being tested ready for the smallest visitors. The steam loco which pulled the minature railway was Hunslet Holy War. Of course the real 2ft gauge steam loco Hunslet Holy War is based at the Bala Lake Railway some 30 miles from Llynclys South to the West. |

On special events, it's always nice to see the past. I suppose these type of cars would have been seen on the roads in this area prior to the railway from Whitchurch to Buttington Junction closing in 18th January 1965. 2592x1944 |
